Allen O. Jones

A Georgia native and long-time resident of Atlanta, Allen Jones is known as a talented entrepreneur, business consultant, market feasibility consultant, political organizer, and networking leader.

Since his graduation from Georgia Tech in 1960, Allen has been a considerable force in the business community. He began his career in the life insurance business in 1961 and remains an independent life and health insurance broker. He was an investment banker from 1975 to 1984. During this period, he began as a municipal bond trader and later became a registered representative and financial principal. Most of his efforts were devoted to underwriting new bond issues. In this capacity, he examined the operations of hundreds of companies.

From 1984 to 1988, Mr. Jones developed and managed a luxury retirement community that included independent housing, assisted living, and a nursing home. In 1988, he sold his ownership in the retirement community and returned to consulting as President of Active Retirement, Inc. d/b/a ARI Consultants which was later succeeded by ARI Consultants, Inc.

In Mr. Jones’ capacity as a business consultant, he has assisted over 240 businesses in their start-up business planning, business plan implementation, plan for profitability, or business sale, or purchase evaluation. He continues serving many of these clients on a regular basis.

Community Service

Mr. Jones was the founding President of Helping Hands of Atlanta, a successful, community organization, fund raising group in the 1980s. He was the founding President of the Atlanta Executive Network in 1992, a business and professional organization. Because of his considerable organizing skills, AEN has emerged as one of the most successful organizations of its kind in the country. During Allen's six-year tenure as President, AEN membership grew to 1,106 people.

Mr. Jones is the recipient of Atlanta’s Phoenix award for community service as well as recognition by the State of Georgia legislature and other organizations for his community service.
